With over a decade of experience in digital marketing, Wayne shares what his day-to-day looks like, what it takes to thrive at AnyMind, and why he finds the journey so fulfilling.
Can you tell us a bit about your role at AnyMind?
I currently lead the Account Management team in Singapore, as well as our Account Strategist and Creative teams. My responsibilities are split between strategic oversight and hands-on execution: driving revenue growth, improving client relationships, and supporting cross-department initiatives.
I also work closely with teams like Business Development and Product to shape long-term opportunities for our clients. Internally, I’m focused on team culture and professional development, especially mentoring junior team members and developing new service offerings.
What does your day-to-day typically look like?
A typical day is a mix of internal and external collaboration. I might start with a client meeting to align on strategy, then dive into sales performance analysis or campaign planning with my team. I spend time crafting new initiatives and identifying ways we can drive more value to our clients, whether through creative campaigns, data-backed recommendations, or better cross-functional alignment.
The most exciting part? Seeing how my decisions impact multiple departments and accounts, and watching our efforts translate into real results. But above all, what I find most fulfilling is mentoring: spotting potential, nurturing talent, and helping shape the next generation of leaders.
What’s one campaign or milestone that stands out to you?
Winning and growing a partnership with a globally recognized Japanese electronics brand has been one of my most memorable achievements. We started from a pitch, and over time, built it into a partnership that’s grown by nearly 600%.
That experience taught me the power of deep client relationships and cross-functional teamwork. Everyone, from Account Strategy to Influencer Marketing, played a part in its success.
What kind of growth have you experienced at AnyMind?
My role has evolved from managing accounts hands-on to taking a holistic leadership approach. I’ve learned how to think beyond daily execution and into long-term planning and people development.
I’ve also grown more confident in handling high-level strategy and stakeholder conversations, while mentoring others to find their own leadership style.
And of course, I’ve been supported along the way by our Country Manager, Yi Hui, our department leads, and my own team. Resources like LinkedIn Learning have also helped me stay sharp in a fast-moving industry.
What’s unique about the team culture in AnyMind Singapore?
The pace is fast, the energy is high, and the team is incredibly collaborative. Everyone here has a strong sense of ownership and is always looking for ways to improve not just their work, but the company as a whole.
A moment that stands out was when our Influencer Marketing, Account Strategist & D2C teams came together after hours to prepare a pitch for a global sportswear brand expanding in Singapore. The teamwork and dedication were inspiring—a perfect reflection of the collaborative spirit that drives everything we do at AnyMind.
What advice would you give someone interested in Account Management at AnyMind?
You’ll thrive in this team if you have a strong client-first mindset, are curious, and enjoy problem-solving. It’s important to be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work well across teams.
Also, having a solid understanding of the digital landscape will help you hit the ground running.
If you’re just starting out, don’t worry about knowing everything. Instead, focus on being proactive, analytical, and always willing to learn. That attitude will take you far.
